Titled Joyful, a copycat Banjo Betty by Japanese Manufacturerer Aikayam
Joyful
Hummel copycat by Japanese manufacturer Akiyama
A copycat of the Hummel Banjo Betty figurine
Imported in the early 1950's.
Find it pictured on page 43 in the Lawrence L. Wonsch book, Hummel Copycats, published 1987. Akiyama sold these their gift stores in Portland Oregon. The "smudged" mark on the bottom is actually called their #50 mark and it was almost always "smudged."
